about

Outrageously cheap priced compilation with ambient, downtempo, film music, chill-out, relaxing music featuring music from the period 1996-2023.
Some tracks have been previously released, some appear in edited, shorter or remixed form. And even some unreleased old and new tracks!

About the tracks:
1. 'Wanjina part 1-Wungud' taken from the album Wanjina, first released in 2008 and re-issued in 2023.
2. 'Cytoplasm' appears on MorphoGenesis (2016)
3. 'Holometabolism' is from an upcoming album PANSIES, created using only piano and field recordings (release in 2024).
4. 'Anti-Blatter' is an unreleased track, remixed from the longer 'Inside (makes real) track (available in original form as bonus track on 'At the Altar of Modernity' album (2007) .
5. 'Luminous' is from Utriusque Cosmi, a collection of early ambient works (released in collaboration with Kalamine Records).
6. 'The Anatomy of Melancholy' is a new track created from older recordings using Xenochrony technique.
7. 'Sagittarius A*' also from the album Utriusque Cosmi, a track using different time signatures for each musical fragment.
8. 'Moving Quest' you can find on Selected Film Works (2014), only this is a shorter version.
9. 'Energumeni' is an unreleased piano composition which has been remixed to fit the style of this album
10. 'White as Snow' appears in another form on MorphoGenesis.
11. 'Tramontana' is a version with acoustic guitar, and the original piece (a much longer version with vocals) is released as an EP in 2014.
12. 'Profundamente Part 2' comes from the 'To Inhale' album (2008), available only on Bandcamp.

about

The Phlod-Nar Belgium

“The Phlod-Nar project showcases a diverse range of music, reflecting Randolf Smeets’ curiosity and broad musical taste. The music spans from electronic sound experiments, abstract music, techno, ambient, and IDM to neoclassical, jazz, African funk, hip-hop, piano music, and more, often blending multiple styles. His musical explorations are adventurous.”
